Prior to my serious motor bike accident in December 2007 I was a very fit 65 year old cyclist using my polar monitor on each ride. The motor bike accident left me with a titainium pin from my knee to my ankle and plates also screwed into the ankle, added to this I had a grisilus flap to my shin. I was told I most likely would not walk unaided. The recovery was a real challenge, total lack of fitness waisted muscle and restricted movement, but slowly increasing my goals and changing the upper limits on my trusty Polar monitor I have now got to a fittness level that has exceeded my expectations.
