Back in Nov 2009 I decided that I have pretty much had it. I was completing two graduate degrees, working full time, being a husband to a great wife and father to two wonderful and not overly active kids. Things had to change! I weighed in at 250lbs and I knew I can do better. I always had a polar watch for the better part of 10 years, but being a "gadget guy" I decided to look at what else polar has to offer. I found the FT80 and thought it was a great training tool, of course with the G1 and S1 Foot pods the package was complete. I also redesigned the logo screen to show my current weight goal so I have constant reminder! my current goal is 210LB which I have already surpassed so its overdue for an update. Since 2009 I completed two triathlons and a 1/2 marathon. This year, I have registered for a full marathon and planning on completing a 1/2 Ironman triathlon. My body is changing but one thing that stays the same is my reliable FT80. The polar community is a great tool and the motivation is amazing! I compete against other polar members on a daily basis and its amazing. One last thing, even my kids started exercising, my oldest completed two triathlons in 2010 and planning on more this year. Of course he already asked me to buy him a polar watch...I think I know what to do with my FT80 when I upgrade to the RS800CX soon...Cheers,Ed
